We invite you to explore the Country Inn Resort of MO for your next accommodation needs. Mark Twain Lake served as a favorite fishing lake for close friends and family. The attraction included the many facets of the Mark Twain Lake area as an avid crappie fisherman, participating in simple getaways, or a local tournament or two. The Country Inn Resort was the lodging choice for over 8 years prior to ownership.

This property provided the best canvas for memorable traditions and now serves by introducing us to both the long-time loyal guests and new faces alike. So, after 30 plus years of creating customer, client, or guest “Wowness” for other organizations, I decided on August 1, 2022, to purchase the resort with one thing in mind… to respect the previous foundation, keep the desired culture, improve where you lay your head to rest, and complement the guests with genuine and authentic efforts to be at your service while creating a place where people arrive as guests and leave as family. Understanding that all walks of life and interest levels will expect something different, it is the complete intention to create an experience so that the Country Inn Resort is your first choice for any lodging accommodation now and for years to come. 

Just an hour away from I-70, The Country Inn Resort of MO has been a part of the Northeast Missouri Mark Twain Recreational Area for nearly over 36 years. With either trip under 10 minutes, both the 3.4-mile trip to the fishing favorite Ray Behrens Recreational Area or 6.4-mile ride, the family favorite Spalding Beach are only a few of the famous attractions in our area. 

Country Inn Resort has 31 motel-type units providing comfort in the 1 and 2-bed guest rooms, to our larger units with more amenities to serve longer 3–to 7-night stays for larger groups, such as local fish tournaments, local hunting accommodations, family reunions, team building or work group outings, or even to simply get away to a getaway.
